About Buddha
Buddha (or Siddhartha Gautama) was a sage whose teachings gave rise to Buddhism. He is believed to have lived and taught between the 6th and 4th century BC in the eastern part of the Indian subcontinent. This word means the “enlightened one” and Siddhartha Gautama is considered the Supreme Buddha and the central figure of Buddhism.
