Actual colors and dimensions of images may differ from perspective and proportion shown by your screen settings and our photo editing. The dimensions assigned are nominal and do not represent the exact measurements of the image, the displayed measurement represents the classification or the size group in which the image falls. This class can only take into account the height and/or the width and length of the statue (eg, the representation of a kneeling image will not be the same height as the same image standing or with arms raised, but it will be wider. All may belong to the same class). Brief legend of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Aparecida: In the year 1717, Dom Pedro de Almeida e Portugal, Count of Assumar, passed in the village of Guaratinguetá, in the Vale do Paraíba. The local council took care of preparing a banquet for the important visit. For that, local fishermen were summoned to bring lots of fish for Mr. Conde and his entourage. They launched the nets in a place close to Guaratinguetá. To the men's surprise, the hammock brought an image of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, without her head. After a few more launches on the net, they got the part that was missing from the sculpture. They carefully washed the image and wrapped it in cloths, continuing the fishing. So many fish came to the net that they had to finish their work.
