The fascinating and impressive artwork in this deck was conceived by famous occultist and member of the Golden Dawn movement Aleister Crowley (1875-1947).
The thoth tarot is regarded as one of the richest classic decks in modern tarot.
The tarot thoth designed by Aleister Crowley and illustrated by Lady Frieda Harris (1877-1962) consists of a deck of 78 cards and an instruction booklet in Portuguese.
The instruction booklet describes the blades as both trumps and minor cards and has an introductory note by Hymenaeus Beta.
The cards are 7cm wide by 11.00cm long.
The current edition by the publisher AGMuller was produced using the most advanced techniques of color separation and printing, thus reproducing the wonderful colors of the original paintings. about Aleister Crowley's thoth tarot
The illustrations were in charge of Lady Frieda Harris, although she knew little about tarot, she managed, under Crowley's supervision, to paint all the subtlety of her ideals. Many versions of the same cards were painted until Crowley's final approval.
Aleister Crowley's Thoth tarot took five years to complete. The first edition was made in 1969, after the deaths of Crowley and Lady Harris.
