Orthoceras are an extinct genus of cephalopod molluscs that inhabited Earth during the Ordovician Period. Orthoceras were huge squid-like molluscs. Their bodies were covered by a cone-shaped shell, this feature gave rise to the name “orthoceras” (derived from the Greek, meaning “straight horn”). Popular belief relates this fossil to increased longevity, the elimination of toxins, nervous states and states of anxiety. Orthoceras promote tranquility and well-being.
