Bronzite is an intermediate variety between enstatite and hypersthenium. Bronzite was highly esteemed by the Greeks and Romans, and its name naturally derives from its particular color.
The Roman people believed that it had powers to prevent illness and mental problems, and it was also often used as a protective amulet. Bronzite is especially appreciated for being the stone of affection, esteem and well-being, bringing inner peace while dissolving physical, emotional and spiritual blocks. This stone is the shield stone of the soul.
