Fátima hand keychain
The hand key fátima brings together two amulets in one: The Eye of Turkey and the Hand of Fátima.
This key ring is made of golden metal and has a hand of Fatima with the eye of Turkey. Fátima's hand measures 5cm x 4cm. The key ring weighs approximately 30 grams.
The hand key fátima grande is handmade, in this sense each keychain is different from the others and the measurements and weights shown are approximate.
STORY OF THE HAND OF FATIMA
Hamsa is known in the Muslim world as the hand of Fatima (Fatima was Mohammed's favorite daughter and the five fingers would be the five pillars of Islam) and in the Jewish world as the hand of Miriam (Miriam was the sister of Moses and Aaron and the five fingers would be the five books of the Torah. Both religions do not recognize, nor authorize the belief in amulets, however, the symbol became very popular entering the category of superstition. In the West, the hand of Fatima became popular with the name of Fatima, but can also appear as Hand of God, Hand of Allah, Hand of Hamesh, or Eye of Fatima.
We can, however, associate this symbol (before Judaism or Islam) more precisely with the Phoenician world and the Goddess Tanit, whose hand warded off evil and fear.
EYE OF TURKEY MEANING
Its Turkish name for protection against the evil eye and against envy is nazar boncuk (Nazar-fat eye, boncuk-amulet). The eye of turkey keychain is often called the eye of Fatima, named after the daughter of the prophet Mohammed, and the Hand of Fatima amulet is added to it to reinforce its effects.
Although it can take on various patterns and can be applied to various models, the turkey eye is usually made up of a circle, sphere or drop shape in dark blue with a white and light blue eye superimposed.
The eye amulet from Turkey appears in the period of development of glass making in the Mediterranean around the 16th century BC.
Legend has it that blond men with blue eyes could be evil and could send bad vibes and cause harm with their gaze. When Turkey's eye breaks or cracks, it has fulfilled its protective function and will have to be replaced by another.
