centenary commemorative rosary The centenary commemorative rosary is a rosary composed of blown glass beads (white with blue and yellow spots), produced by hand, and the crucifix is made of zamak (a metal alloy) with copper and silver finish. The rosary dowel, also made of the same metal alloy, has the shape of a heart. (See video below) The design of the rosary had the initial support of the young Fatimense Kátia Silva and, in the final phase, of the Silvadesigners team. Each piece comes with an explanatory book, available in seven languages and with the Certification Seal issued by the INCM. The centenary commemorative rosary is sold for a fixed price of 12 euros. Of this amount, 1 euro will be donated to the Fatima Rehabilitation and Integration Center (CRIF), for the construction of a residential home for adults with disabilities whose families are unable to provide the necessary support. Each centenary commemorative third was produced manually and is certified (and numbered) by the Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda. Mary's heart Mary's heart was the inspiration for the creation of this centenary rosary, certified as a Commemorative Rosary for the Centenary of the Apparitions of Fátima. Conceived by local designers and produced with raw materials from the region, it has in its composition the artisanal work of the production of each glass bead in a mix of colors from white to sky blue, manually linked by local artisans, in which each mystery counts with a passer that transports us to the love of Mary, ending with a Cross of rare beauty alluding to the Centenary. The Mysteries of the Rosary It is with the urgency of those who pray for peace that, in Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary never tires of asking the little shepherds to “pray the rosary every day”. The reason for this insistence goes back to the core of the message of Fatima, which is evoked precisely in the accounts of the mysteries of the Rosary: Fatima recalls the biblical face of a God with the bowels of mercy (Jer 4,19) who comes to meet man, thirsty for him rescue for full joy; in the same way the prayer of the Rosary centers us on that definitive promise of the triumph of mercy that the life of Christ, evoked in the mysteries of the rosary, comes to inaugurate. The prayer of the Rosary summarizes this economy of the gift: As an evocation of the life and sacrificial love of Christ for humanity, in the image of which the believer allows himself to be molded, in a process of permanent conversion, the Rosary is an expression of the trusting humility of those who He puts his whole life in God's hands and prayers are made for the brothers, especially those who need it most. To meditate on the mysteries of Christ's life, as Mary did, is to allow oneself to be shaped by God's affection, as she did. It is to the rhythm of this prayer that the Little Shepherds of Fatima find the space of intimacy with God where the generosity of their self-giving for others and their commitment to peace in the world germinate. One hundred years after the Heart of Senhora do Rosário opened the eyes of three shepherd children to the light of God, in Cova da Iria, this rosary built with materials from the region invites them to commit to the message that the Lady most brighter than the sun is a messenger. Centenary Rosary video HOW TO PRAY THE ROAD The prayer of the rosary begins at the cross that is at the end of the rosary with the prayer of the Creed. On the next bead, an Our Father is said. On the following three beads, three Hail Marys are said, the first in honor of the Creator Father, the second in honor of God the Son and the third in honor of God the Holy Spirit. On the next bead, Pray the Glory Be to the Father. Next, we enter the phase of the mysteries; each mystery has ten Hail Marys and one Our Father, the rosary is composed of five mysteries. Each mystery can be called a ten. We begin with an Our Father, followed by ten Hail Marys, ending with a decade or a mystery. This cycle is repeated successively for each mystery until the third is completed. Between each mystery, an ejaculation will be recited and at the end of the last mystery a prayer of the Hail Queen. When you finish your prayers of the rosary, you should recite the prayer of thanksgiving. THE PRAYERS OF THE THIRD Creed (at the beginning) I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and being buried, he descended into hell, on the third day he rose again, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from whence he will come to judge the living and the dead; I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the Resurrection of the flesh and eternal life. Amen. Our Father Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. Holy Mary Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory to the Father (at the end of every decade) Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, now and forever. Amen! Jaculatory (after each Glory to the Father) O my Jesus, forgive us, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven and help especially those who are most in need. Thanks (To conclude the prayer of the rosary) Infinite thanks we give you, Sovereign Queen, for the benefits that we receive every day from your liberal hands. Be worthy, now and forever, to take us under your mighty protection and to oblige you more, we salute you with a Hail Queen: Hail Queen, Mother of mercy, life, sweetness, our hope, save! To you we cry out, the banished children of Eve, to you we sigh, groaning and crying in this valley of tears. Come then, our Advocate, turn those merciful eyes of yours to us, and after this exile, show us Jesus. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, O merciful, O pious, O sweet and ever Virgin Mary. Pray for us Holy Mother of God. That we may be worthy of the promises of Christ.
