WHAT ARE GUIDES?

Guides are sacred objects, which constitute a link between the child of faith and the Orixás. Therefore, they must be treated as such, with respect and devotion.

The guide is not a simple necklace. It is an object of protection that, in order to have the desired effect, must be consecrated by an Entity, or through consecration rituals, when the child of faith undergoes an initiation process.

TYPES OF GUIDES:

There are guides made of seed, wood, bone, beads, porcelain, stones, crystals or plastic.

WORK GUIDES AND PROTECTION GUIDES

There are different types of guides. The work guides are used by the child of faith in the temples at the time of spiritual work. They are usually guides received during the initiation process of the Orisha and have the function of helping the medium's connection with the Entities, as well as protecting him during the works. They indicate the degrees of initiation that that child of faith has and also indicate the Guides they carry.

HOW TO CLEAN THE GUIDES?

The guides must be washed with water from the power points of nature depending on the corresponding Orixá. WHEN TO USE THE GUIDE?

As the guide is a sacred object, it is not necessary to use it uninterrupted, especially when it is a work guide. The protection tab can be used full-time without needing to be exposed. If it is not possible to wear it around the neck for professional or personal reasons, you can make a small white bag to place the leash (like a charm) and carry it in your purse, wallet or pocket.
