ABOUT THE TIBETAN CUP The Tibetan bowls, known as singing bowls (singing bowls), rin gongs, Himalayan bowls or suzu gongs are a kind of bell, which, instead of hanging and inverted, has the surface of its base resting on it. The vibration of your rim produces a base frequency and audible tones. The Tibetan bowl is played by the percussion of the bowl or by the friction of its rim, emphasizing the tones produced and maintaining a continuous sound. Tibetan bowls are used worldwide for personal well-being, relaxation, music or meditation. Its origin derives from Buddhist practices, where the beginning and end of silent meditations were marked. Today, varying a little according to Buddhist currents, Tibetan bowls can be used during the chanting of mantras or chants and during rites and ceremonies.
